Please join us as a participant in the next Vision 2020 Think Tank for an engaging discussion with top women in emerging technology to discuss artificial intelligence, data analytics and drones and hear about their path and current challenges they are facing.

The Vision 2020 Project is a ten year national campaign to advance women’s economic and social equality. Delegates from all 50 states collaborate to: (1) increase the number of women in senior leadership positions, (2) advance women’s economic security and achieve pay equity, (3) educate young people to value gender equality, shared leadership and civic engagement and (4) engage and educate women voters and increase women’s participation in the political process.

Beena Ammanath

Beena is the founder of Humans For AI Inc., an organization focused on building out a more diverse workforce for tech leveraging Artificial Intelligence. She is also an award winning senior technology transformation leader with extensive global experience in AI, big data, data science and IoT space. Her knowledge spans across e-commerce, financial, marketing, telecom, retail, software products, and industrial domains. Her corporate leadership experience has influenced the global strategic direction of companies such as GE, Thomson Reuters, British Telecom, Bank of America and E*TRADE as well as a number of Silicon Valley startups. She serves as a board member for ChickTech Inc . and on the Industrial Advisory Board of Cal Poly University.

Beena has been honored several times for her contribution to tech and her philanthropic efforts, including the San Francisco Business Times’ 2017 Most Influential Women in Bay Area , WITI’s Women in Technology Hall of Fame, National Diversity Council’s Top 50 Multicultural Leaders in Tech , CIO.com and Drexel University’s Analytics 50 innovator, Forbes Top 8 Female Analytics Experts and Women Super Achiever Award from World Women’s Leadership Congress. She recently co-authored the book “AI Transforming Business”.

Yvonne Wassenaar

Yvonne is a catalyst who inspires a shift in action and challenges leaders to embrace technology and diversity in order to stay relevant in a rapidly changing world. Yvonne currently serves as CEO at Airware, a global aerial insights company driving meaningful business impact to F500 companies with end-to-end commercial drone solutions where she focuses her time on scaling and diversifying the company globally. Yvonne serves on the Board of Directors of Forrester, Bitium and Medsaf, where she advises the companies on technology trends and go-to-market expansion/transformation opportunities. She also serves on the Board of Harvey Mudd College and the Athena Alliance where she works to increase diversity in STEM and leadership.

Previously Yvonne was the Chief Information Officer at New Relic and she held multiple leadership positions at VMware. Yvonne began her career as a software engineer at Accenture, where she held a variety of leadership roles over 17 years. Yvonne holds a BA in economics from UCLA and an MBA in strategy and operations from the university’s Anderson School of Business. Her market impact recently earned her recognition as a 2016 Woman of Influence in Silicon Valley; theBoardlist Top 20, and as a WSJ Woman of Note. She is an avid traveler and uses her experiences abroad to deepen her understanding of human interaction and experience.

 

Sara L. Terheggen (“Dr. T”)

Dr. Sara L. Terheggen is a leading corporate attorney. To date, she has advised on transactions with an aggregate value of approximately $100 billion. Her expertise in securities transactions includes advising companies and investment banks in connection with public and private offerings of equity and debt, and initial public offerings, as well as acquisitions, strategic investments and joint ventures. Dr. Terheggen’s private equity fund formation expertise focuses primarily on representing sponsors in the structuring, formation and offering of private equity funds.

Dr. Terheggen sits on several boards and is a frequent speaker on topics such as innovation, fund formation, IPOs and leadership. In addition to her legal career, Sara has over 15 years of experience in strategic development, implementation and assessment of technology initiatives. Serving in various roles, she has worked with top academic institutions, such as UCLA and University of California, Berkeley. Numerous organizations, including Chambers, the National Diversity Council, Legal 500, The San Francisco Business Times, The Recorder, Silicon Valley Business Journal, Euromoney Legal Media, Super Lawyers, Public Counsel and the University of Oregon have honored her on numerous occasions with awards for professional and community leadership. Sara has also been invited to the White House on two occasions to participate in leadership discussions.

Dr. Terheggen received her B.S. from the University of Oregon; Master’s and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University; and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
